Watch out for fake lotteries

Fraud affects many Californians. Annually, thousands are victims of frauds and scams. Each scam is different, yet all have a common thread, "If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is!" You will find a list of several common scams listed to the left.     • Don't be a VictimThe California Lottery has published a pamphlet entitled "Don't Be A Victim", which contains information on how a consumer can avoid being a victim of lottery scams or fraud. Click the image at right to view a PDF version of this pamphlet.

       

       

       


      The California State Lottery would like to warn consumers about some promotional items that have been found to contain toxic content. Recently, the State requested that all agencies and departments review their promotional items for toxic content. In turn, the Lottery had all promotional items tested for hazardous toxins. If you possess any of the following you should discontinue use and dispose of them properly.
